PLAYOFF UPDATE:
Congratulations to Chatham (MSL National
Champions) and Mountain Lakes (MSL American Champions)!
Welcome
to the Bridgewater Sports Arena's Middle School League website.
With the popularity of ice hockey
growing by leaps and bounds, the Bridgewater Sports Arena has created a new
league to meet the needs of the middle school crowd.
Many middle schools have formed teams to help the students to prepare
for the fast paced action of high school hockey.
The league had six teams competing in the inaugural year, two divisions
and 10 total teams in its third year, 14 teams in its 4th year... and now
3 divisions and 18 teams in
its 5th year!
Local
schools represented include Bridgewater-Raritan, Hunterdon, Hillsborough, Bernardsville, Chatham
(three teams), Denville, Long Valley, Watchung Hills,
Morristown, Mountain
Lakes, South Brunswick, Randolph, Ridge (two
teams), Roxbury, and Summit.
All of these schools have high school teams that participate in
leagues in New Jersey.
In addition, BSA has created a middle school team, the BSA Americans, for
players who are not fortunate enough to attend a middle school with a team
participating in the league. The Bridgewater Sports Arena
created the league to offer the opportunity for schools to play
competitively, and their hope is that in the future the league will have
participants from all over New Jersey.
