The Skating Club of Bridgewater (SCOB)

Beginner through advanced skaters who wish to test in the ascending skill levels and/or participate in competitions must be a member of either the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) or the United States Figure Skating association (USFSA). They may join these federations as an individual or as a member of a skating club. The majority of skaters join through a club. This ensures that their eligibility to test and compete is accurately maintained and that they have first priority to register for club sponsored test sessions. In addition, membership provides them with the opportunity to enjoy the support and encouragement of other member skaters.

The Skating Club of Bridgewater (SCOB) is a USFSA club that works cooperatively with the BSA Figure Skating Center. The club conducts USFSA sanctioned test sessions, exhibitions, and competitions at the Bridgewater Sports Arena where its member skaters train under the guidance of BSA's professional staff. SCOB skaters are members of the USFSA and/or the ISI. Club members range from beginners to National and World competitors-turned-pro. SCOB is an independent, nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the state of New Jersey and a member club of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) in Colorado Springs. It operates under rules defined in its own by-laws as well as those defined by the USFSA.
